Current Developments

Oakgrove

This scheme commenced in the summer of 2012, we are now on phase 4 of this project, we have carried out major earthworks on phases 1, 2, 3 and 4 with ground remediation carried out on all phases. We have constructed to date 579 number units and 16,500 m2 of associated distributor and residential roads and sewers on a parcel of land in Oakgrove Milton Keynes.

The site required extensive cut and fill, proof rolling and filling with onsite cut material, material generated from the works together with lime stabilisation over large areas of the site.

Extensive wild life corridors, ditches and ponds have been formed as part of the drainage strategy and park areas works.

We have also constructed a new pedestrian underpass under the V10 for safe access to the local school.

Daventry

This scheme commenced in late of 2013, we are currently on phase 2 of this project, we have carried out major earthworks on phases 1 and 2 the earthworks consisted of a stringent testing regime which we carried out in-situ. We have now completed 293 number units and 10,200 m2 of associated distributor and residential roads and sewers, including extensive 278 works.

The site required extensive flood defence works and anti-erosion works, due to the position and level of the site, these were all carried out by ourselves.

The site also has the main BPA fuel lines running beneath, servicing fuel to the Buncfield depot and eventually Gatwick and Heathrow airports, we carried out major concrete slab protection works to this pipeline under the direction of B.P.A. own engineers and supervisors. The site was also habituated originally by numerous badgers and great crested newts, so we have had to work closely with the ecologists before our works have commenced.

Allied Bakeries Stevenage

The works we are carrying out at Allied Bakeries in Stevenage is the final bakery in the capitalised refurbishment implemented by Allied Bakeries. We have carried out the removal to all concrete floors in bakeries and replaced with power floated coloured floors, in live working bakeries, together with extensive extension, foundations, drainage and external works. The projects were all phased to allow existing bakeries to accommodate any loss of production.

The projects commenced with West Bromwich, then onto Stockport, Walthamstow and finally Stevenage. Since the programme of works commenced, we have to date carried out over £ 8 million in work to the 4 bakeries, replaced over 12,000 m2 of internal concrete floors, constructed silo bases, renewed drainage and carried out major external works, all carried out within a live working bakeries, health and safety together with close liaison with the client was paramount on this contract to enable our client to maintain operations whilst still delivering our specialised product on time and to the very high standards required by our client.

An ongoing contract on a Greenfield site, consiting of construction of Roads, Sewers and Infrastructure Works to adoptable standard. Construction of 134 housing plot foundations up to oversites including all brickwork sub structures, plot drainage and all external works for the new housing development.

BMW / Mini Cambourne

Client: SDC

Value: £900,000

A Greenfield site at Cambourne in Cambridgeshire consisting of the construction of foundations, drainage and all external works for new a BMW & MINI showroom and workshops. Contract 20 weeks. Works included foundations, reinforced concrete motors service bays and drainage including surface water attenuation.  Also included were high specification external works, slabbing, block paving and footpath works directly for Cambridgeshire County Council.

Hartwell is an ongoing contract.A Greenfield site in the small village of Hartwell, Northamptonshire.  The project consisted of the construction of roads, sewers and infrastructure works, including pumping main, to adoptable standard.  The site consists of 36 housing plot foundations up to oversites including all brickwork sub structures, plot drainage and all external works.

Falmer, Brighton

Client: Ocon Construction Limited

Value: £3,500,000

A Greenfield site at The University of Sussex, Falmer complex, included the construction of all infrastructure works and 19 reinforced concrete rafts for 940 student accommodation units. A contract lasting 60 weeks, the works included new roads, sewers, concrete reinforced rafts, drainage, services and externals.

Chettles Yard, Nottingham

Value: £2,300,000

A Brownfield site at Radford Road, Nottingham, included construction of all infrastructure works and 7 reinforced concrete rafts for 485 student accommodation units. Contract lasted 50 weeks and completed in Summer 2011. Works included new roads, sewers, concrete reinforced rafts, drainage, services and externals.

Sutton Bonnington

Value: £565,000

A Brownfield site at Sutton Bonnington, Leicestershire.  The project involved construction of all infrastructure works and 2 reinforced concrete rafts for 195 student accommodation units. Sutton Bonington was a 50 week contract which completed in summer 2010. The development consisted of the construction of new roads, sewers, concrete reinforced rafts, drainage, services and externals.
